LAR's QuickCODultra is the ultimate online COD analyzer for the determination of chemical oxygen demand (COD) suitable even for the most difficult waste water applications.

Exact Analysis. Clean, fast and accurate. In contrast to the common standard methods, which are time consuming and require dangerous reagents, the QuickCODultra uses the combustion method. It is fast, using the original idea considering the oxygen required for the oxidation of the organic components contained in the water. This method goes without any use of dangerous and etching substances so that a high operational safety is ensured. Another advantage of this method is that the measurement results are taken from the complete digestion and free from chloride interference.

The real COD. Even with changing sample matrixes.

The entire raw waste water sample including all particles is directly injected into a furnace via the unique injection system. With our ULTRA high temperature method oxygen is used to digest all components. This demand is detected by a special oxygen detector so that the analyser truely measures the real oxygen demand. Even with applications with changing sample compositions the QuickCODultra reliably determines the COD.

High salt concentrations. No problem with the QuickCODultra.

This online COD analyser can handle salt concentrations up to even 300 g/l sodium chloride (NaCl). Salts that melt at the temperature of 1,200°C are vaporised by the combustion power and carried out with the carrier gas to settle in a special retrieving device.

The measurement of the COD takes place in less than 2 minutes. This speed guarantees that very short peaks can be determined very well during a daily cycle.

The analyser's availability is over 98%. Even when used in high salt applications its weekly service is about 30 minutes.

The COD value indicates the amount of oxygen which is needed for the oxidation of all organic substances in water.
