Exact Analysis. At 1,200°C, the TRUE TOC is determined.

For an exact TOC measurement all carbons bonds - incl. particles - must be reliably combusted. LAR's unique robotic system is capable of transporting and measuring a high content of solid matter without any filtration of the sample. Additionally, LAR's ultra high temperature method with combustion at 1,200°C guarantees the complete oxidation of the sample.

This analysis results in TRUE TOC.

The building blocks principle for a tailor made measurement instrument.

The use of inert materials as well as a pump, which is installed downstream of the sample stream, prevent carryover and memory effects caused by absorption and adsorption. The automatic ranging feature ensures reliable measurements between 0.1..50,000 mg/l C without dilution or pretreatment of samples. This means, fluctuating loads and adhesive samples are easily analysed.

Catalysts. For our analyzers simply not necessary.

Lower temperatures at 680-1,000°C need catalysts to provide satisfying oxidation power. Even then complex compounds often are not determined. Because of the high temperature used the QuickTOCairport does not need any catalysts.

High salt concentrations. No problem with the QuickTOCairport.

This online TOC analyzer can handle salt concentrations up to even 300 gr/l sodium chloride (NaCl). Salts that melt at the temperature of 1,200°C are vaporised by the combustion power and carried out with the carrier gas to settle in a special retrieving device. Through the high temperature the salts present can easily be discharged. They move through the oven in fluid form and are eventually carried out of the oven by way of the condensate. Finally, they are deposited in a retaining device, from which they can easily and quickly be removed. In this way no salt deposits can form in the oven.

The QuickTOCairport. Ultra quick measurements and maintenance.

The QuickTOCairport is designed to operate in a batch mode. The TRUE TOC measurement takes place in less than 3 minutes. This speed guarantees that very short peaks can be determined very well during a daily cycle. The analyser's availability is over 98%. Even when used in high salt applications its weekly service is about 30 minutes.

The TOC is one of the most important composite parameters in the assessment of the organic pollution of water.
